The complex is made up of eight buildings with the same architectonic modular structure arranged around a portico covered square. These blocks of flats function independently, permitting smooth access to the square though the open spaces between them.
An outside skin of adjustable slats takes on a curved shape, leaving an intermediate space in between it and each modular housing block. This light aluminium skin lends the exterior a powerful image of great strength that invites the public into the "plaza mayor", conceived as a homage to Eduardo Chillida.
These mobile elements project a constantly changing image; the residents of the flats are free to use them at their will. The homogeneity of the complex produced by this exterior skin, as well as giving it a clear message of modernity, allows each one of the blocks to settle details with eight different cooperative societies without losing the unity of the complex.
