The character of the urban environment, rigid planning guidelines and visual connections between Plaza del Rey and Iglesia San José were the primary constraints in the design of space and volumes. The new building had to complete the outline of the plaza defining the exterior space and creating the character of a secluded exterior space. The predominant lines in the design, artificial stone and copper that were applied intend to leave trace of the present time and oppose deceitful construction practices.
