The intervention in this building fully redefined the experience of its users, through new spatial and functional hierarchies. It was provided with the space and flexibility it had lacked ever since its original construction, as well as technical and constructive solutions aimed at rationalizing the capacity of the building by means of constructive and industrial systems with low cost maintenance and low energy consumption.
Included was the coating of the opaque panels on the main façade, the conditioning and repair of part of the dividing walls, the remaking of the balconies, new base plates on the roof, partitioning off of the main staircase, partial redistribution of indoor space, renovation of flooring and wall surfaces in some areas, partial substitution of vertical piping and toilet/kitchenette nuclei, and replacement of installations, with detailed actions in the framework vaulting so as to open up vertical shafts and ventilation chutes.
