Keeping in mind the fact that a dwelling is more than just a necessity for its occupant, attempts are made to go beyond levels that only imply what is reasonable so as to aspire to what is desirable. Maximum flexibility is sought to allow the personalisation of the way space is lived in; to allow the optimum ventilation and exposition to sunlight through dual aspect dwellings; and to allow the use of constructive systems that respond to current domestic demands and anticipate those of the future.
In this way a mobile panel is created which permits multi faceted use of indoor space, transforming it with a simple gesture into a dining kitchen area or living dining area. "Factory made" spaces are reduced to a minimum, granting the users the power to define spatial configuration on the spot according to their needs at the time.
As a general proposal, the building is organised around two communication systems, one of them vertical with lifts and stairs and another complimentary horizontal one with footbridges at mid height in between the framework so as not to reduce visibility from the flats.
